And say hello to the newest Tolkien hearthrob
He is Richard Armitage.
He is one of the addition in the upcoming Peter Jackson’s flick “The Hobbit”. He will play Thorin Oakenshield, the gruff leader in the company of dwarves.
Now that’s shocking since RA stands 6’3. And the role is only 4 feet tall.
Ohhh….
In fact, Peter Jackson have so much faith in him. He described RA ‘a powerful actor with wide range’. He trusts RA to show his depth, emotion as an actor and they’ll take care of his appearance. RA’s newest role will require him of tedious hours of prosthetic and costume to make him as a dwarf.
I don’t dig LOTR series, but I painstakingly watched the trilogy. But with RA on the screen, though he’s a dwarf, I can foresee myself alive, alert and giggling all throughout the movie.
I just can’t get enough, so here’s another one..

***RA is also slated to appear in the movie, Captain America. He will play the earliest nemesis of Heinz Kruger. The movie will open (worldwide, maybe) next Summer.
